Consolidated Precision Products Corp. (CPP) is hiring for an Aerospace Parts Manufacturing-Foundry Helper in Albany, Oregon. This role supports casting, ingot and metals departments with manual tasks to maintain throughput and productivity.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading furnaces, torch cutting, MIG welding titanium electrodes, molding preparation, and equipment cleaning. CPP emphasizes safety, teamwork, and advancement opportunities with a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with ability to work in a factory setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Production operation experience preferred.
• Must be able to use and understand basic computer functions.
• HS diploma or GED required, but relevant experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading or unloading casting furnaces.
• Assist with general departmental clean-up and debris removal.
• Torch cutting using Oxy/Acetylene torches.
• MIG welding titanium electrodes for casting furnaces (training provided).
• Prepare molds for filling with molten metals.
• Clean furnaces and assist in servicing and setup of casting equipment.
• Adhere to department and company procedures and safety rules.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Participate in safety improvement through observations and teamwork events.
• Be accountable for safe work practices and meeting production rates.
• Other duties as assigned.

Primary Purpose:

Support casting, ingot, metals department performing manual tasks to ensure productivity and throughput goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists with loading or unloading casting furnaces.


• Assists with general departmental clean-up which may include sweeping and shoveling of debris.


• Torch cutting using Oxy/Acetylene torches.


• MIG welding titanium electrodes to be used in casting furnace (training provided).


• Prepares molds for filling with molten metals.


• Cleans furnaces, assists in the servicing, repair, and preparation for the operation of casting equipment.


• Adhere to all department and company procedures and policies.


• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.


• Participate in safety improvement through observations and teamwork improvement events.


• Be accountable for working safely by following all safety rules and safe work practices.


• Meets established production rates consistent with quality expectations.


• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Mechanically inclined.


• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.


• Production operation experience preferred.


• Must be able to use and understand basic computer functions.


• HS diploma or equivalent GED required, but candidates not meeting this requirement who possesses relevant experience will be considered.


• Must be at least 18 years of age.


• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.


• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check.


• Must be willing to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.


• Must take a base line hearing test prior to starting.

Working Conditions:

• The job is performed under reasonably good working conditions with some exposure to, noise, temperature, and machinery.

Schedule:

• Swing Shift: Monday - Thursday 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM - $1.00 shift differential


• Weekend Day Shift: Friday/Saturday/Sunday 5:00am - 5:30 pm - $1.25 shift differential
