Job summary

Qualifications

• At least five (5) years of work‑related skill, knowledge, or experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, preferably with an OEM or Tier I/II supplier in the automotive sector.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP software.
• Ability to work overtime (daily, weekends, and holidays).
• Meet or exceed the job requirements outlined.

Responsibilities

• Utilize positive employee techniques to lead, coordinate, and develop Materials Department personnel to support production, forecast demand, and create supply plans ensuring material availability.
• Plan work assignments and equipment allocations to meet operational goals.
• Review orders, production schedules, or shipping/receiving notices to determine work sequences and shipping dates, types, volumes, or destinations.
• Prepare documents such as work orders, bill of lading, or shipping orders to route materials.
• Record shipment data, including weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
• Determine shipping method for materials using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Correspond with established representatives to resolve problems such as damage, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Authority to stop production if unsafe parts or conditions appear.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or manager.
