  • Forklift experience preferred; training provided for qualified candidates.
  • Basic carpentry ability; comfortable using hand and power tools.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving.
  • Accurate completion of shipping paperwork with legible documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Execute safe, accurate, and efficient shipping and receiving.
  • Load/unload, verify, and stage inbound and outbound freight.
  • Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment as trained.
  • Package, crate, label, and secure customer orders.
  • Maintain inventory integrity via transactions, cycle counts, and organized locations.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, and purchasing teams to hit schedules.

Shipping and Receiving Operations SpecialistWhere: Newark, DelawareStatus: Full-TimePay: Up to $22.00/hour, experience-basedIs this you?Do you take pride in error-free paperwork and on-time shipments?Are you comfortable on a forklift, around overhead cranes (with training), and using hand/power tools?Do you enjoy keeping a warehouse organized and inventory accurate?Are you the communicator others count on to keep production, purchasing, and quality aligned?Schedule options1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.Your impactExecute safe, accurate, and efficient shipping and receiving.Load/unload, verify, and stage inbound and outbound freight.Clean containers/components to remove debris and contaminants before they move forward.Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, pickup trucks, company vans, and, as trained, overhead cranes.Package, crate, label, and secure customer orders.Build and repair crates using basic carpentry methods and standard tools.Complete receiving records, bills of lading, and shipping documentation precisely.Maintain inventory integrity via transactions, material moves, cycle counts, and organized locations.Inspect incoming material for damage or count issues and report immediately.Coordinate with production, quality, purchasing, and other teams to hit schedules.Keep your work area clean and compliant with safety policies.Follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail.Support customer deadlines with overtime when required.What you’ll needValid driver’s license.Shipping/receiving, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics experience (preferred).Forklift experience (preferred); we will train qualified candidates.Basic carpentry ability; comfortable using hand and power tools.Excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving.Accurate completion of shipping paperwork with legible documentation.Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping transactions (preferred).Ability to work independently and as a collaborative teammate.Detail orientation and commitment to quality work.Reliable attendance and a strong safety mindset.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.High school diploma or GED (preferred).Successfully pass a pre-employment physical, lift assessment, and drug screening.Physical expectationsLift up to 50 lbs unassisted; use forklifts, overhead cranes, or other equipment for heavier loads.Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for the duration of the shift.Operate material-handling equipment safely.Work safely around manufacturing equipment and moving materials.Total rewardsPay up to $22.00 per hour, based on experience and qualificationsFull-time with overtime opportunities40 hours of paid vacation after the first six monthsThree weeks of paid vacation during the first yearEleven paid holidaysFour paid personal/sick days during the first yearMedical, dental, and vision coverageHealth Savings Account (HSA)Company-paid life insurance401(k) with company matchAnnual wage increases and performance incentivesCareer growth and advancement pathsClean, climate-controlled manufacturing facilitiesAbout DuHadaway Tool & Die ShopFor over 65 years, our family-owned team has delivered quality and precision for customers who expect the best.
