Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products in the United States is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Material Handler in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The role involves loading and unloading materials, moving items between locations, and operating forklifts and related equipment to support production and shipping.

You’ll collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues, ensure safety, and comply with quality and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Shipping/receiving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely move and stack materials between designated locations within the facility.
• Operate forklift(s), crane(s), tilter(s), band crimps and other equipment.
• Process shipping releases as directed by Shipping Lead or Supervisor.
• Follow Quality and Environmental Management System principles in daily work.
• Communicate with Sales, Maintenance, Operations and Quality Control to resolve issues and meet goals.

ROLE OUTLINE

The Shipping & Receiving Material Handler assists with the tasks involved in shipping and/or receiving of raw materials to be used in production. The position is responsible for loading, unloading of material and stacking of material in designated location(s)

Key Focus Areas

• Responsible for loading and unloading raw material and/or finished goods from trucks and/or other freight hauling vehicles.
• Responsible for safely moving and stacking materials between designated locations within the facility.
• Responsible for operating forklift(s), crane(s), tilter(s), band crimps and various other tools and equipment.
• Responsible for collecting and acting upon shipping releases, as directed by the Shipping Lead or Supervisor.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with the fundamental principles associated with the Quality and Environmental Management System in place at BlueScope Coated Products.
• Communicates daily with internal personnel from Sales, Maintenance, Operations and Quality Control in order to help resolve any problems and help achieve company goals.

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job the employee occasionally performs near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme cold or heat. The noise level in the work environment is considered moderate.

$24.00/hr - $25.50/hr
