Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products in California is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Material Handler. The role loads/unloads raw materials and finished goods, operates forklifts and cranes, and stacks materials within the facility to support production.

You will process shipping releases and ensure compliance with Quality and Environmental Management Systems. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork with Sales and Operations, and accurate communication to meet daily delivery goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to safely operate forklift/crane equipment and move materials.
• Basic reading of shipping documents and coordination with internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload raw materials and finished goods from trucks or other freight.
• Stack and relocate materials within designated facility areas.
• Operate forklift, crane, tilter and related equipment safely.
• Process shipping releases as directed by Shipping Lead or Supervisor.
• Follow Quality and Environmental Management System procedures at BlueScope Coated Products.
• Communicate with Sales, Maintenance, Operations and Quality Control to resolve issues.
