Job summary

Midwest Transit Equipment is seeking a full-time Shipping & Receiving Clerk at our Nixa, MO location. The role involves shipping parts to customers, receiving inventory, and accurately processing shipments in our systems.

A strong emphasis is placed on safety and efficient warehouse operations. Responsibilities include handling packages, operating a forklift, and maintaining precise records while communicating effectively with supervisors and customers.

Responsibilities

• Pull, package, and ship maintenance parts and supplies to customers per policy.
• Enter shipping info into UPS Worldship and complete shipment details in company systems.
• Receive packages daily from UPS and FedEx and scan into inventory.
• Safely operate forklift to move pallets and access stock in the warehouse.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and review Safety Data Sheets as needed.

Description

Working in the warehouse, the Clerk is responsible for shipping parts to customers and receiving product into inventory. This is a safety-sensitive position. Employees holding this position are responsible for the safe performance of job duties, including but not limited to the safe operation of tools and vehicles. Employees holding this position are responsible for their own safety as well as that of co-workersand any other individuals that Employee comes into contact with during his/her employment.

Requirements

• Pull, package, and ship maintenance repair parts and supplies to various customer locations in accordance with company order policy
• Enter accurate shipping information into UPS Worldship system
• Complete shipment information in the company software
• Receive packages daily from UPS and FedEx
• Scan received product into inventory system
• Communicate with Supervisors of inaccurate orders received
• Use ladders to pull orders and put away received inventory
• Safely drive and operate Forklift to move pallets of stock around the warehouse
• Access, review, and understand Safety Data Sheets for proper clean-up and disposal of hazardous materials
• Strict observance of and adherence to all safety policies and procedures

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion in a timely and safe manner
• Forklift Certification required
  • Must be able to pass Company written and driving forklift safety training
• Knowledge of UPS Worldship preferred
