Job summary

Atterro in Montpelier, OH is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to coordinate shipping/receiving, inspect shipments, and operate forklifts. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and basic data-entry skills. The schedule is 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with pay of $18.56 per hour plus a $0.50 increase at 90 days.

Responsibilities include moving materials, labeling shipments, and ensuring documentation accuracy, with occasional overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to support on-time customer deliveries.
• Pull, package, label, and prepare finished goods for shipment while ensuring accuracy and quality standards.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, quantity accuracy, and proper documentation.
• Operate forklifts to move materials, load trucks, and transport products throughout the facility.
• Drive a box truck to transport materials between company locations as needed.
• Stage raw materials for production and organize finished goods within the warehouse.
• Process shipping transactions, inventory movements, and order records within company systems.
• Assist with cycle counts, annual inventory processes, and warehouse organization.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and report safety concerns immediately.
• Support quality management initiatives by ensuring product identification, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.

Education Requirements

Experience Requirements

• Previous Shipping & Receiving experience required.
• Forklift operating experience required.
• Experience driving a box truck, manual-transmission vehicle, or larger commercial vehicle preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, order fulfillment, and material handling.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to verify shipments, documentation, and product quality.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand and work throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Lift, carry, and move up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Frequently use hands and upper body for gripping, lifting, twisting, and material handling tasks.
• Ability to walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance as needed.
• Capable of working overtime, including extended shifts and weekends when production demands require.
• Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely in a manufacturing warehouse environment.
