Job summary

Triple-S Steel Holdings, Inc. is seeking a motivated Shipping and Receiving Associate to manage loads for our customers in Fontana, CA. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and basic computer skills.

You will verify goods, record receiving and shipments, operate a forklift as needed, and maintain accurate records for billing and inventory. The company offers tuition reimbursement, medical, dental, vision, and other benefits, with salary between $18 and $26 per hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; prior warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be detail oriented with strong communication and multitasking abilities.
• Intermediate computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods, verify quantity and quality against shipping documents.
• Record items received and loaded; report discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain receiving records and update shipment data for billing.
• Operate forklift or hand truck to move materials as needed.
• Perform other clerical duties and support warehouse team.

ABOUT THE POSTION

We are seeking a motivated Shipping and Receiving Associate to assist with manageing loads for our customers. Candiadte must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment, must be detail oriented and have intermidate computer skills.

• Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers’ count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing officer per company policy.
• Verifies and records all items loaded for receiving.
• Carefully and accurately maintains receiving records for requested categories including goods returned, dunnage, and returnable pallets.
• Maintains database of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments as required.
• Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
• Transports materials on shipping dock with a hand truck or other vehicle as needed.
• Loads trucks or railroad car using a forklift.
• Performs other clerical duties.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) (preferred)
