Reports To: Inventory Manager
Employment Type: Full-time
Schedule:Monday – Friday 7am – 4:30pm Occasional Saturday
Pay Rate: $19/hr - $21/hr - depending on experience Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk with forklift certification and hands-on experience in warehouse operations. This role is responsible for accurately handling incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments, including labeling and documentation
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
• Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and storage areas
• Ensure all shipments are processed in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain records of all shipments and inventory transactions in the warehouse management system (WMS)
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and orderly work environment
• Collaborate with warehouse team members, drivers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations
• Report damaged or missing items to supervisors promptly

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid forklift certification with at least [1-2+] years of forklift operating experience
• Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, physical environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of shipping procedures, documentation, and freight carrier protocols is a plus
