Shipping and Receiving Associate II - 1st Shift

Overview

Cadrex is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate II responsible for managing shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate data entry, transactions, and movement of products and materials in and out of the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts (stand-up and sit-down), pallet jacks, plastic banders, and shrink wrap machines.
  • Coordinate with purchasing to determine required supplies for orders.
  • Perform cycle counts and research transactions related to receiving.
  • Enter data into customer portals.
  • Work with Material Handlers to ensure proper packaging and shipment preparation.
  • Use critical thinking to resolve issues and suggest process improvements.
  • Assist with pulling items and communicate with sales and production to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Organize shipping lanes and racks for efficient shipment readiness.
  • Unload trucks and operate box trucks for local deliveries and transfers.
  • Train Level I staff and participate in departmental process improvements.
  • Ensure material racks are correctly labeled, organized, and ready for use.
  • Collaborate with purchasing on delivery scheduling.
  • Identify urgent materials/items for priority receiving and notify relevant departments.
  • Communicate daily material needs to operators.
  • Cross-train in both buildings for receiving and outside processing.
  • Identify and communicate incorrect packaging issues to quality, purchasing, or the materials manager.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and work orders.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Attention to detail and quality focus.
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Additional Details
  • Location: Onsite.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday.
  • Compensation: $22 to $25 per hour, including benefits such as health/dental/vision, life insurance, disability, paid time off, 401(k) with employer match, and more.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and moderate noise levels.
  • Requires standing, sitting, handling, talking, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
