Job summary

Maola Local Dairies in Durham is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate to prepare orders, receive and label inventory, and ensure accurate shipments. The role requires adherence to safety and food safety procedures and may involve overtime.

You will operate pallet jacks, unload trucks, stock warehouse and complete paperwork, with a schedule Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with potential weekends. Competitive benefits available from first month.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or International Education Equivalent.
  • Warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to add, subtract, two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM; ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Rate: $18 - $20 per hour

SUMMARY

The shipping & receiving employees will prepare orders for shipment, complete all paperwork and ensure accuracy of the order to ship. Duties include but are not limited to receiving in, storing and distributing all deliveries, as well as stock and restocking items in their proper locations as needed. Employees will pick customer orders per pick ticket and ensure the accuracy of selected items and quantities.

Safety, organizational and housekeeping responsibilities are encompassed in the position. The employee will also follow all Food Safety rules and procedures pertaining to this job as outlined in the training program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The warehouse area is maintained at cooler temps, 34-38 degrees.
