Job summary

BrightFarms, Inc. is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Associate for our Loudon, NH location. This full-time role oversees warehouse inventory, and loads/unloads inbound and outbound trucks to support the greenhouse operations.

The position runs 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM and includes a full benefits package starting on day one. Qualifications include a valid driver’s license; pallet jack and forklift experience are highly desirable; warehouse loading or inventory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly inventory counts and weekly cycle counts.
• Receive weekly replenishment truck deliveries to the greenhouse.
• Load and unload all inbound/outbound trucks and manage related paperwork.
• Move goods using pallet jack and forklift.
• Maintain clean and organized storage areas and 5S standards.
• Provide warehouse coverage when supervisor is absent.
• Run daily water meter reports and water tests.
• Support greenhouse departments as needed.

At our greenhouse in Culpeper County, we grow more than 1 million pounds of leafy greens per year serving the Greater Washington D.C., Baltimore and Northern Virginia areas. We are currently in need of a Shipping and Receiving Associate to support our team.

Job purpose / summary / objective

Oversees the warehouse and inventory and supplies product to the greenhouse as needed.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Assist Production Manager on monthly inventory counts
• Assist Production Manager on weekly cycle counts
• Receives weekly replenishment Sporoco truck at Greenhouse
• Load and unload all inbound/outbound trucks at facility (including finished goods-3pl customer pickups and all paperwork needed)
• Uses pallet jack and forklift to maneuverproductsafely
• Follow all Food Safety procedures when loading/unloading finished goods in order to ensure 100% alignment
• Maintains all storage areas in facility clean and organized. This includes dock, PPE shelves, Film Shelves and 5s storage area
• Provides Sporoco warehouse coverage when Supervisor is out on PTO or sick
• Daily water meter reports and water tests
• Support all greenhouse departments when needed

Qualifications

Working conditions / Environment / Travel / Schedule required

Employees will have frequent exposure to seasonal conditions which may range from extreme heat and humidity in the summer to cold in the winter. Will spend the majority of time driving truck and performing the loading and unloading. The noise level of machines and cooling units can be loud. All safety gear will be provided, and expected to be used, for conditions involving extreme weather, noise, and chemical exposure.

Physical requirements

While performing the duties of this job, employees are expected to constantly use hands to finger, handle or feel, as well as talk and hear. Loading and Unloading trucks requires walking, reaching with hands and arms, as well as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing. The lifting requirements are to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, often lift up to 25 pounds, and constantly lift up to 10 pounds. The employee should have clear correctable vision at close and distance range, as well as peripheral vision to notice safety hazards.
