Job summary

Royell Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist at our Everett, WA location. The role is non-exempt and paid hourly. You will handle receiving, packing, and shipping activities, ensure correct part counts, and maintain traceability documentation.

Typical day includes verifying shipments, using a forklift or pallet jack, and coordinating with production to meet shipping deadlines. Competitive benefits and a structured training plan are offered.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Level 2 requires 2 years shipping/receiving experience.
  • Experience with aerospace product drawings and specifications is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Verify part counts, sign off work orders, and close job in the computer
  • Wrap/package parts to protect for storage/shipping
  • Accurately route parts to next process
  • Identify issues with marking instructions and escalate for resolution
  • Place completed orders into stores and pull stock for shipping
  • Receive, inspect, and validate incoming shipments against packing slips
  • Package and ship parts with packing slips and carrier labels
  • Complete manufacturing documentation and traceability records

Description

This position is located at our other site: 2732 Grand Ave, Suite 140, Everett, WA 98201

Official working hours: Monday thru Thursday 1:30pm - 12:00am (**This position will need to train on day shift, 7:00am-3:30pm Monday thru Friday, for the first 4-6 weeks**)

The Shipping and Receiving Specialist performs a range of tasks associated with receiving, applying part ID, packaging, and shipping completed product to our customers. Shipping Specialists 1 employees are expected to work independently with occasional technical assistance. A focus on fine details is critical to ensure customer orders are delivered on time to the correct location, with the correct parts and the exact quantity ordered.

Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Part Marking
  • Verify the part matches engineering, and identify approved marking method
  • Set up and test marking equipment and obtain acceptance buy off to ensure correct marking; provide verification and acceptance buyoff for others performing marking.
  • Verify part counts, sign off work orders, and close job or job sequence in the computer
  • Wrap/package parts to provide adequate protection for storage/shipping
  • Accurately route parts to next process
  • Identify work orders with insufficient part marking instructions or issues with existing instructions and submit to Planning for resolution.
Inventory Control/Picking
  • Place completed orders/inventory into pre-existing locations in stores
  • Locate and accurately pull stock required for shipping from stores locations
  • Maintain accurate stock locations and packaging
  • Pick orders for Assembly jobs and shipping kits
  • Perform stock checks and cycle counts as required
Receiving
  • Validate incoming shipments against packing slips and perform initial receiving transactions (MOD)
  • Inspect incoming parts from finish operations, ensuring correct finish is applied, masking was done per drawing, finishes applied and documented on certification paperwork matches our PO requirements, and part counts match.
  • Perform final receiving transactions for acceptable parts, initiate rejections for non-conformances
  • Safely load and unload trucks using a forklift or pallet jack
  • Receive incoming hardware (standards) shipments, validating certification paperwork, quantity ordered/received, condition and accuracy of items shipped, and perform receiving transactions.
  • Route received items to storage locations.
Shipping
  • Pick parts per an assigned shipping schedule and package for shipping
  • Validate part numbers, part quantity, and shipping requirements to ensure the correct parts are delivered, on time and in the right quantity
  • Package adequately to protect parts during transit
  • Produce required packing slips, Advanced Shipment Notification, and carrier labels
  • Organize outgoing shipments for carrier pickup
Traceability and accountability
  • Completes all manufacturing documentation and forms including but not limited to status updates on schedules, filling all required fields and signing work orders, scrap and defect tags.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Level 1 position- must have a high school diploma or equivalent

    Level 2 position - must have a high school diploma or equivalent + minimum 2 years shipping and receiving experience

  • DESIREABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with aerospace product drawings and specifications
