Schedule/Shift: Monday - Friday / 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM ($20/hr)

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this role involves verifying received materials, scheduling shipping, and creating detailed shipping documentation. The position requires collaboration with the warehouse team to ensure customer satisfaction and support shipping operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee driver check-in processes.
  • Prepare bills of lading; verify shipment details against work orders.
  • Receive and unload materials; verify shipment accuracy; process returns.
  • Sort, count, package, label, and log inventory.
  • Print shipping paperwork.
  • Coordinate loading with the dock and drivers.
  • Communicate with carriers regarding drop trailers and paperwork.
  • Ensure all paperwork is signed and loads are closed in the system.
  • Trace lost shipments and handle customer claims, including proof of delivery.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service for special order paperwork.
  • Understand and follow RJW policies and procedures.
  • Communicate customer issues to relevant personnel.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Recommend and implement improvements.
  • Update operations reports.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive telephone demeanor.
  • Be trainable to be ‘Phone Assertive’.
  • Organize and schedule effectively.
  • Lead and train staff.
  • Multi-task efficiently.
  • Use computer applications including word processing and spreadsheets, and learn company-specific software.

Qualifications:

  • Basic office clerical skills.
  • Typing speed of at least 40 wpm.
  • At least 2 years of clerical experience.
  • Basic logistics and shipping knowledge.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
