Job summary

Fastenal Co. is hiring for a part-time Shipping position at our Atlanta, GA distribution center. You will help move products, label outgoing orders, and load shipments using hand tools, pallet jacks, or forklifts when needed.

The role emphasizes safety and teamwork in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities include scanning, labeling, sorting, loading, and securing loads, while maintaining a clean, organized work area and adhering to health and sustainability policies.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or over.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product.
• Inspect product for damage and document discrepancies.
• Sort product into correct locations.
• Stack product efficiently.
• Consolidate, load and unload shipments.
• Utilize load truck reports to locate product for outgoing shipments.
• Ensure proper load securement for transport.
• Verify product is correctly labeled for easy identification and delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
• Comply with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations.
• Participate in activities to help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives.
• Learn, pass, and practice various environmental health and safety trainings.

OVERVIEW

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse!
Working as Part-time Shipping, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout our distribution center. You will be responsible for organizing all outgoing orders, loading product into trucks by hand, pallet jack, or by forklift. This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at 6445 Fulton Industrial Blvd, Atlanta, GA 30336. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.
