The position requires forklift certification (or willingness to certify), attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Pull finished and packaged products from inventory to build orders accurately.
• Apply shipping labels to cases and pallets as required.
• Print packing lists and Bills of Lading (BOLs) and maintain shipping logs.
• Receive and process incoming shipments and rotate stock (FIFO).
• Safely operate a forklift to move products and load outgoing trucks.
• Follow GMP and food safety practices and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Coordinate with Inventory, Production and other departments to keep shipments running smoothly.

Shift: Day Shift 6:00am – 2:30pm with some flexibility.
Pay: $19 - $23 per hour depending on experience

We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Shipper / Shipping Clerk to join our Shipping and Receiving team and help ensure our customers receive their orders accurately, safely, and on time.

About The Role

The Shipper / Shipping Clerk is responsible for accurately pulling, labeling, preparing, and shipping customer orders, as well as receiving incoming shipments and supporting inventory rotation and food safety practices throughout the warehouse. This is a hands‑on position in a fast‑paced environment where teamwork, accuracy, reliability, and a strong sense of urgency are important to success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Follow Wet Noses® First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory practices and rotate stock as needed.
• Maintain accurate shipping logs and required paperwork.
• Run and process shipping labels.
• Print packing lists and Bills of Lading (BOLs).
• Load outbound shipments and verify shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Receive and process incoming shipments.
• Process UPS shipments and assist with UPS orders.
• Pull finished and packaged products from inventory to accurately build customer orders.
• Apply shipping labels to cases and pallets as required.
• Safely operate a forklift to pull products from storage and load outgoing trucks.
• Accurately complete work orders, pick tickets, and other required documentation.
• Follow applicable food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), including washing hands before directly handling food when applicable.
• Report food safety and quality concerns to management or supervisor so appropriate action can be taken.
• Work cooperatively with Inventory, Production, and other departments to keep shipments and warehouse operations running smoothly.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Forklift certification, or willingness and ability to become certified.
• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, particularly with paperwork, labeling, and order fulfillment.
• Dependable with a strong attendance record.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and prioritizing tasks with a sense of urgency.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
• Understanding of food safety and GMP practices, or willingness to learn and follow them.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move products consistent with warehouse responsibilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also completing tasks independently.
• Experience with inventory systems is a plus – specifically Fishbowl
