Job summary

Shawmut Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our Clinton, Tennessee facility. You will handle incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure materials are properly stored and identified.

This role supports daily warehouse operations and requires strong teamwork. You will use scanners, operate possible equipment like forklifts, and follow FIFO inventory practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English to interpret setup sheets and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic material handling duties to support production.
• Obtain pick sheets and use scanners for entries.
• Load/unload trucks and verify shipments.
• Organize inventory using FIFO and pick raw materials.
• Return rolls to proper locations and identify with scanners.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and report hazards.
• Generate shipping documents and coordinate with departments.
• Prioritize tasks and communicate with relevant teams.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed.
