Job summary

Shawmut Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our Clinton, Tennessee facility. You will handle incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure materials are stored and identified correctly.

You will verify shipments, manage returns, and support daily warehouse operations in a hands-on role. The position requires basic math, data entry skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs (100 lbs with assistance).

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• English reading/writing skills to interpret setup sheets and SOPs.
• Basic math for inventory and shipments.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Experience in a warehouse or factory environment preferred.
• Ability to operate powered equipment (forklift, order picker, tow motor, man lift).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to cross-train in other areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic material handling to support production.
• Obtain pick sheets and use scanners for entries.
• Load and unload trucks; verify shipments.
• Arrange inventory using FIFO; pick raw materials.
• Return rolls to proper locations; verify identification with scanners.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Report faulty equipment and unusual conditions to supervisor.
• Generate and manage shipping documentation.
