TE Connectivity is seeking a Shipper / Receiver I for the Greensboro, NC area. The role supports all DC functions, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing and shipping operations.

Employees will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and SAP for documentation, with responsibilities across loading, unloading, and inventory accuracy. The position is a 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, requiring safety adherence, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a focus on timely,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in high-volume distribution centers or logistic industry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on heights up to 30 ft.

Responsibilities

• Receiving/Put away: unload/load trucks, sign bills of ladings, process IBL and packing lists in SAP.
• Picking: fulfill customer/manufacturing orders using scanners and equipment.
• Packing: follow SAP packing instructions and apply labeling.
• Shipping: prepare shipments with documentation and arrange carrier pick-up.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.

Job Overview

TE Connectivity (TE) Global Logistics, Americas has an opportunity for a Shipper / Receiver I. The Shipper / Receiver performs all functions associated with material movement through the Distribution Center, including material handling, paperwork, and recordkeeping. Operates powered order pickers, forklifts, turret trucks, electric/manual pallet jacks, stretch wrapping machine, laser scanners, etc. May be required to lift to 50 lbs. and work on highs (up to 30 ft). Follows all DC procedures and demonstrates an understanding of DC standards and goals to achieve total Customer Satisfaction. Perform all functions accurately and in a timely manner. Responsible for knowing and confirming the TE Connectivity Quality and Environmental, Health and Safety Policy. This is a 2nd shift role that has a schedule of Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 11:00pm.

Duties:

Receiving/Put away:

• Loads and unloads trucks and interfaces with common carriers. of floor loaded containers.
• Signs bill of ladings for incoming shipments and process IBL, packing lists for receipts from vendors using SAP
• Checks incoming product against documentation to verify accuracy, sorts of products and prepares it for put away.
• Receive product into SAP using barcode scanners or computers.
• Put product away in available space by proper area/zone using order pickers, turret trucks, pallet jacks and barcode scanners.
• Breaking down / lumping of floor loaded containers

Picking:

• Picks products for customer orders, manufacturing orders and sample requests using barcode scanners, pick tickets, shipping papers, order pickers, turret trucks and manual or electric pallet jack.
• Performs other put away and pick duties, such as bin location audits, unit load and carton transfers.
• Weigh or hand counts quantities needed to fill customer orders, manufacturing orders and sample requests.

Packing:

• Performing packing function by reviewing SAP packing functions or ship sets to obtain packaging instructions.
• Performs special packaging, prints and applies special labeling as required by each customer. Understands and follows the 107 specifications
• Recognizes hazardous/flammable material and prepares shipment per established procedures.

Shipping:

• Prepares cartons and pallet loads for shipment by attaching proper shipment documentation as well as carrier required documentation. Prepares unit load shipments with stretch wrap or banding.
• Generates manifests and bill of ladings for each shipment checking against actual carton count in staging area.
• Contacts common carriers to arrange pick up for shipments.
• Loads and unloads cartons to / from pallets, carts, or conveyor by using forklift and manual or electric pallet jack.

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $33,200 – 49,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
