Job summary

Douglas Dynamics in the United States is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to support our distribution operations. You will receive and ship products, move pallets manually or with a forklift, prepare shipments, and help ensure count accuracy and product quality across the dock, contributing to on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a ShipperReceiver to join our team and help drive our continued success This role plays an important part in supporting our customers strengthening our business and contributing to the long term growth of Douglas Dynamics

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

Receives and ships incoming and outgoing product and delivers product to appropriate areas In this role you will leverage your skills experience and perspective to make a meaningful impact Youll collaborate with teammates across the organization contribute ideas and help deliver results that matter for our customers and our business

HOW YOULL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Move materialpallets manually or with a forklift
• Prepare product for shipment ie assemble boxes assemble wooden crates use stretch wrap machine or bander to secure products to pallets
• Load daily outgoing product on common carriers
• Verify all products unloadedloaded for count accuracy and good quality
• Able to follow instructions
• Assist other shipperreceivers when needed
• Perform 5S activities
• Work as a team member and on your own
• Load various types of trucks
• Operate a variety of forklifts safely in a fast paced congestive environment
• Comprehend and process required paperwork ie packing slips picking tickets BOL etc
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions as needed
• Perform all other duties as required

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS

• Physical requirements Vision; near; distance color peripheral and depth perception
• Able to stand and walk
• Able to reach above shoulders and outward
• Able to bend squat and crawl
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
