The position ensures products are accurately received, processed, stored, and shipped while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to established procedures and customer requirements.
- Receive incoming materials and products, verify quantities and condition, and accurately record receipts.
- Transport, stage, and store inventory using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Perform inventory movements and replenishment activities within the warehouse.
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse work areas.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Process customer shipments using shipping software, transportation management systems, and ERP platforms.
- Coordinate shipments with carriers to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
- Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, packing lists, and other required shipping documentation.
- Complete shipment confirmation and order closeout activities across multiple systems.
- Monitor shipment status and assist in resolving delivery or transportation issues.
- Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping requirements when applicable.
- Perform data entry, validation, and record maintenance with a high degree of accuracy.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain operational records, verify shipment information, and support reporting activities.
- Review shipping and inventory documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with operational reporting and metrics tracking.
- Maintain electronic and physical records in accordance with company procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 months of related warehouse/manufacturing experience
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Basic knowledge of all tools and equipment used in department.
- Basic knowledge of PC, word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
- Ability to prioritize work and move from one job to the next effectively.
- Ability to navigate customer websites, shipping software, and Transportation Management Systems.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing software.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to effectively operate handheld scanners.
- Basic knowledge all safety procedures.
- Basic knowledge of all department policies and procedures.
- Ability to effectively operate pallet jacks.
Physical Requirements
- Standing/walking 95+ percent of the time on a hard surface
- Exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force to constantly move objects
- Occasional lifting of 25-50 lbs. / Frequent lifting of 10-24 lbs.
- Occasionally carry 25-50 lbs. / Frequently carry 10-24 lbs.
