Job summary

The Crosby Group in Mt. Pleasant, PA is seeking a Shipper to perform final inspection, packing, labeling, and shipping of products. This hourly union role involves coordinating with trucks, loading/unloading, and maintaining accurate shipping documents.

Working Monday through Thursday from 6:00am to 4:30pm, you will handle pick lists, bill of ladings, and accuracy in documentation, with emphasis on safety and timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Ability to handle fast-paced environment with some familiarity with welding/welded products.
• Accurately and efficiently handle pick lists, bill of ladings and shipping documents and paperwork.
• Ability to think and problem solve and adjust to situations quickly.
• Provide final inspection and band in the chain and other related products with the assistance of cranes/hoists and physical handling.
• Operate dot peen marking machine to stamp (engrave) products.
• Properly package product to be shipped.
• Loading and unloading of trucks; must be willing to work until out-going trucks are loaded for the day.
• Regular attendance, communication and meeting committed deadlines are all essential elements of the job. These requirements are key to the operation and effectiveness of this position and if not in place have the potential to impair and diminish expected results.

Job Description
