Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Operations Team Leader and/or supervision of the Production Planning Manager, the employee is responsible for maximizing the selection and loading process of Trivium products by ensuring accurate orders, meeting schedules, and maintaining product integrity and quality standards throughout the material handling process. The role also involves using various inventory and tracking systems, recognizing waste, and adjusting execution accordingly.

Job Duties:
  1. Safely operate a powered industrial truck (forklift) during work processes. Complete and maintain internal forklift certification.
  2. Service all production lines, packaging equipment, and the packaging department with materials and finished goods efficiently, following inventory system protocols.
  3. Load finished products onto delivery trucks accurately, maintaining quality inspection forms.
  4. Prepare all required documentation to ensure high-quality finished products for customers.
  5. Maintain performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve dock/warehouse operations.
  6. Recognize waste (labor, time, moves, product), adjust accordingly, and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
  7. Learn and utilize inventory and tracking systems, including SAP and PCS Trivium Shipper TMS.
  8. Communicate effectively with co-workers, share ideas, give feedback, and train new employees when applicable.
  9. Coordinate with operations and supply chain teams to maintain product flow and prevent disruptions.
  10. Maintain all LTL dock operations and communicate with freight vendors regarding shipping schedules.
  11. Prepare shipping paperwork.
  12. Support hazardous waste and recycling programs.
  13. Maintain a safe and clean work environment through daily maintenance, 5S, and housekeeping.
  14. Understand and comply with BRC Food Safety Policy, GMPs, HACCP principles, and BRC standards.
  15. Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and OSHA rules during work activities.
  16. Perform tasks on a rotational basis.
  17. Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Starting Wage: $23.61 per hour

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to attain forklift certification
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing preferred
  • Experience in warehousing, freight handling, and forklift operations
  • Ability to accurately document product fills
  • Maintain a safe operating record for powered industrial equipment
  • Self-starter, quick learner, enthusiastic about challenging tasks
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; able to analyze and act appropriately (written aptitude assessment required)
  • Effective communicator, active listener, able to work across functions, and influence others
  • Ability to work all shifts, including 8 or 12-hour shifts, and weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

Physical Demands:

The physical requirements include standing, walking, handling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision and hand-eye coordination are necessary. The environment is noisy, with temperature extremes and exposure to fumes, dust, and odors. Hearing protection and PPE are required.
