Job summary

Washington Penn in Ohio is seeking a reliable warehouse worker to load or unload vans, trucks, and railcars of production material, building supplies or equipment for use in the plant or shipment to customers. You will prepare shipping and receiving documents, inspect and label materials, and ensure correct weights and securement.

The role requires maintaining a clean, safe work area and following established safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency in basic computer software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming trucks, vans, rail cars, etc.
• Load outgoing trucks, vans, rail cars, etc.
• Prepare shipping and receiving documents.
• Labels and weighs incoming/outgoing materials as instructed.
• Transfer bulk materials between trucks/rail cars and receiving silos.
• Transport product samples to QC lab if required.
• Keep work area clean and safe; report hazards to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Unload incoming trucks, vans, rail cars, etc.
• Load outgoing trucks, vans, rail cars, etc.
• Prepare shipping and receiving documents.
• Confirms and/or properly labels incoming or outgoing materials.
• Secures gaylords to skids if required.
• Confirm weights of materials as instructed.
• Transfer bulk materials from trucks or rail cars to receiving silos.
• Transport product samples to QC lab if required.
• Clean rail cars for shipment.
• Clean P/E holding tanks.
• Clean Bulk Material Transfer Systems and perform routine maintenance on same.
• Repackage customer samples or resale material.
• Prepare rail siding for rail movements. (Move pipes, draw bridge, etc.)
• Seal rail cars and bulk trucks for shipment.
• Inventory all material in Shipping Warehouse.
• Maintains clean and safe work area and reports all hazards to Supervisor.
• Wears proper safety equipment.
• Performs other duties and assignments as directed by supervisor.

Recommended Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Skilled in the use of basic computer software.
