Ellwood Crankshaft Group (ECG) is the world's leading manufacturer of large, one-of-a-kind, multiple-throw crankshafts. ECG's products and services include crankshafts and eccentrics used in mechanical stamping presses, reciprocating air and gas compressors, reciprocating pumps, engines, mechanical shears, rock crushers, homogenizers, and other applications. ECG services the locomotive, shipping, mechanical press, oil and gas, and compression markets.

ECM is currently hiring for the Shipper position. Employees in this role perform general labor and semi-skilled duties to support manufacturing and plant maintenance. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that may involve day, night, or rotating shifts based on business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Understanding of manufacturing processes
• Strong math skills
• Ability to use measuring instruments like micrometers and snap gauges
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card and consent to MVR check

Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety rules and maintain quality standards
• Adhere to FMCSA cargo securement and DOT regulations
• Operate equipment such as cranes, forklifts, trucks, saws, and other machinery
• Maintain reports and records
• Perform loading/unloading, building skids and boxes, cleaning, welding
• Arrive punctually and perform routine labor as needed
• Possess woodworking skills
• Maintain professionalism and good housekeeping
• Handle materials up to 120 pounds and perform physical tasks like bending, squatting, standing, walking, reaching
• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, temperature changes, and machinery
