Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform routine and preventive maintenance on vessels, conduct rounds through engineering spaces, and assist the Chief Engineer. The role requires hands-on knowledge of power tools, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and safety procedures.

You will inspect restrooms, maintain engine rooms, pull electrical and computer cables, and report equipment abnormalities.

Qualifications

Must be able to stand, walk, lift, carry, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, push, pull, and twist throughout shift.
Must be able to carry and climb ladders.
Must have working knowledge of the proper use of power and manual hand tools.
Must have general knowledge of electrical work, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration.
Must have excellent communication skills and be able carry and effectively communicate by radio.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have ability to obtain/maintain any and all other necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, including changing light bulbs and clearing plumbing blockages.
Complete engine room log sheet and check fluid levels of storage tanks and motors.
Inspect restrooms and maintain engine spaces and auxiliary machinery room.
Assist in pulling new electrical and computer cables and repairs.
Rounds will be made of engineering spaces hourly and report any abnormalities.
Maintain clean and organized storage spaces and engine room.
