Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of shipboard or industrial plumbing experience.
• MMC and TWIC required; QMED or Master Plumber preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance/repair of shipboard water systems.
• Provide training and evaluate cadets during sea terms.
• Test repairs and report results to the First Engineer.
• Supervise and train students of varying experience levels.
• Act as safety observer and complete permits to work.
• Perform duties of a shipboard plumber.
• Evaluate student performance with engineering officers.
• Comply with uniform regulations and ship policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
