Job summary

Disney Cruise Line is seeking a Nursery Counselor to supervise our youngest guests onboard. You will provide a safe, engaging environment for infants and toddlers ages 6 months to 3 years, support unstructured play, and log allergies.

This shipboard role emphasizes strong guest interaction, teamwork with crewmembers, and participation in Castaway Cay responsibilities under the Youth Activities Manager.

Qualifications

• Two years of recent experience working with children in a recreational, daycare, or camp setting.
• Experience caring for infants and toddlers.
• Ability to entertain children with free-play activities.
• Ability to relate to audiences of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Oversee infants and toddlers in the nursery, assist with unstructured play, feeding, diapering, and allergy awareness.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing spaces; keep areas tidy during operating hours.
• Maintain check-in/check-out logs and learn the nursery reservations system.
• Communicate with parents/guardians and assist with care and concerns.
• Be a Youth Activities Counselor at varying times.
• Maintain high levels of guest interaction.
• Care for children ages 6 months to 3 years in The Small World Nursery.
• Participate in Castaway Cay responsibilities as directed by DCL leadership.
• Have a valid passport and Seaman's visa; complete pre-employment medical; pass background checks.
