Job summary

Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc. is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator/Shipboard Laborer to support shipboard supply operations at Naval Station Mayport and Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base.

The role involves loading, transporting, and stowing subsistence items aboard Navy ships, with safety-first procedures and teamwork. The ideal candidate will have forklift qualifications, the ability to pass background and security checks, and the stamina for physically demanding work in secure

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to pass a background check and government security screening.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Navy installation access.
• Forklift qualifications to operate up to 4,000 pounds.
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Physical ability to walk, climb stairs, bend, stoop, and work in demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and stow subsistence items and supplies aboard Navy ships.
• Move materials from staging areas to shipboard storage locations.
• Rotate inventory and stock as directed.
• Stack pallets neatly in designated storage areas.
• Remove debris and dispose of materials in approved locations.
• Support surge operations and emergent mission requirements.
