Job summary

Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc. is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator/Shipboard Laborer to support shipboard supply operations at Naval Station Mayport and Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base.

The role involves loading, transporting, and stowing subsistence items aboard Navy vessels in a safety-conscious environment. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, English proficiency, and the ability to obtain Navy access.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to pass a background check and government security screening.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Navy installation access.
• Ability to operate or maintain forklift qualifications to 4,000 pounds.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Physically able to perform demanding work aboard ships and in a warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and stow subsistence items and supplies aboard Navy ships.
• Move materials by hand from staging areas to shipboard storage locations.
• Rotate inventory and stock as directed; stack pallets neatly.
• Dispose of debris and ensure safe storage areas.
• Support surge operations and mission requirements as needed.
• Conduct forklift operations safely and perform routine inspections.
