Job summary

A defense support company seeks an Electrical Tradesman in California to assemble and modify mechanical assemblies. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in shipboard electronic installations, a high school diploma, and be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. This position involves working with power tools and blueprints and may require a second shift and frequent physical activity. Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• At least 2 years of shipboard experience installing electronic equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble large shelters and mechanical parts.
• Review modification instructions and engineering change orders.
• Modify or rework mechanical assemblies.

Skills

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Ability to use power tools and assemble mechanical assemblies

Ability to work with blueprints and assembly drawings

At least 2 years of shipboard experience

Willingness to work second shift

Must be respirator qualified

Education

High-school diploma or GED

OSHA 10 certification
