Job summary

Noblis is seeking an engineer with strong AutoCAD skills to lead Technical Data Package development for Machinery Control Systems, Repair Station Consoles, and Engine Controllers on the DDG-51 Modernization program. This high-ownership role involves managing baselines, creating installation drawings, and coordinating with multiple teams and government stakeholders.

The position includes on-site onboarding at LBES with potential hybrid work later and occasional ship checks.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
1–3 years of AutoCAD experience and engineering drawing review.
Proficiency in AutoCAD to create and modify electrical drawings.
Strong attention to detail across ship variants.
Experience managing large volumes of technical documentation.
Strong organizational and coordination skills across teams.
Effective written and verbal communication; able to host meetings.
Self-motivated with ownership of deliverables.
Basic technical writing ability for reports and procedures.

Responsibilities

Create electrical block installation drawings in AutoCAD for TDPs across ship alterations.
Produce and maintain TDPs across multiple DDG hulls and configurations.
Review ship check data and verify legacy baselines in NSWC TDPs.
Update TDP drawings based on ISEA review comments and ship checks.
Support shipboard verification tests during TDY trips.
Coordinate data exchange between BIW Planning Yard and ISEAs; lead meetings.
