Job summary

Disney Cruise Line is seeking a Chef de Cuisine to lead the galley team aboard a Disney vessel. You will oversee all food offerings, ensure culinary standards, and train crew while managing group meals and special requests.

The role requires shipboard experience and strong leadership in a high-volume operation. You will report to the Assistant Manager Food Operations and play a key role in maintaining safety, quality, and guest satisfaction onboard.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience leading a high-volume culinary operation in a hotel or restaurant
• Certified working Chef or equivalent degree in Culinary Arts
• Shipboard experience is REQUIRED
• Demonstrated career progression in culinary field
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage products, services and equipment
• Ability to write and cost recipes and train the team
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage multi-functional areas
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines and financial goals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• College degree in Culinary Arts preferred

Responsibilities

• Follow company recipe guidelines and audits
• Meet food cost budgets and targets
• Order stores using MMS for up to 3,000 meals daily
• Inventory control and replenishment
• Monitor equipment maintenance and report needs
• Organize staff meetings and lead culinary team
• Handle buffet, a la carte, production and line service
• Provide leadership for all direct reports and crew development
• Maintain safety and compliance standards
• Manage timekeeping and crew recognition
