Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Engineering Technician 2 to support shipboard C5ISR installations on ships and submarines. You will work with a team to assemble, cable, and test integration hardware in demanding environments.

The role requires reading complex drawings, operating precision test equipment, and ensuring high-quality, safe installation. Some travel to shipyards and government facilities may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of applicable shipboard installation experience.
• Experience in fabrication/assembly per fabrication drawings.
• Soldering with low wattage (<30W) required.
• Background investigation and secret clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team supporting cabling, equipment, and C5ISR installations.
• Read shipboard drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and cable sheets.
• Operate installation test equipment including spectrum analyzers and voltmeters.
• Attach fiber and RJ-45 connectors; dress cable installations neatly.
• Lead tasks and ensure quality in a mission-critical environment.
