Job summary

Disney Cruise Line seeks an Automation Operator to manage Entertainment Automation Systems at the Walt Disney Theater aboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel. You will oversee the movement of stage scenery, maintain rigging and automation for shows, parties, and events, and report to the Senior Technician WDT.

Level: Officer, Shipboard position. Responsibilities include load in/out, show installations, safety training, and collaborating with the team on outdoor productions.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years show production experience in a similar role.
• Experience operating computerized automation control equipment.
• Experience in theatrical/entertainment rigging operations.
• Proficiency with hydraulics, electronics, motors and rigging controls.
• Ability to work at heights and with heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage operation of Entertainment Automation Systems during shows.
• Oversee maintenance and safe operation of rigging equipment for outdoor events.
• Train in outdoor rigging positions for show safety.
• Contribute to load in/out, cast changes, new show installations, tests, vendor support, premieres, and events.
