Description

We are currently seeking seasoned Ship's Gear Operators/Crane Operators to enhance our dedicated team of stevedores. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining assigned cranes and ship’s gear, ensuring the safe and efficient transloading of cargoes and commodities. Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain assigned ship’s gear cranes.
  • Ensure the safety of the team on ships and in the warehouse.
  • Perform lifts as required, providing guidance to an assigned crew.
  • Conduct pre-job inspections and periodic maintenance on cranes.
  • Monitor load hookup and determine load safety.
  • Report any unsafe operations or behavior to the production manager.
  • Support company safety initiatives and comply with all operational directives and company policies.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of friction and hydraulic crane experience in a maritime/industrial or warehousing environment (preferred).
  • Experience in the stevedoring/warehousing industry (preferred).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of rig operation and maintenance programs.
  • At least 40 hours of seat time in all assigned equipment.
  • Proficiency in equipment and terminal operations.
  • Physical fitness to perform all essential physical demands of this job safely.
  • Advocate of a team concept and commitment to customer service.
  • Must possess a TWIC Card.

The incumbent will work in all weather conditions and at different elevations. Noise levels may require hearing protection. The job site will contain light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment, and tools. Rotational shift work required.
