Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group is seeking a Marine Operations Manager based in Miami to oversee day-to-day vessel operations, budgets, and compliance. The role interfaces with Shoreside Marine Operations, technical superintendents, and facilities management to ensure safe, efficient ship performance.

The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, drive cost controls, manage dry-dock planning, and maintain regulatory and class approvals across multiple ships within the fleet.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Chief Engineer’s Diploma and minimum 3 years experience on Diesel Engines and Steam Plant.
  • Experience as Naval Architect or Marine/Mechanical Engineer and/or Chief Engineer with a shipping company or classification society.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of assigned vessels within the Marine Operations Department.
  • Oversee dry-dock planning, budgets, and coordination with Deck/Engine departments and superintendents.
  • Ensure compliance with Class/Government authorities and safety regulations; maintain approvals and oversee incident investigations.
  • Coordinate with Facilities Management and Marine Technical teams on machinery and safety equipment installation.
