Job summary

Akers Packaging Service Group in Middletown, OH is seeking a Fork Truck Operator to move finished products from the converting lines and load them into trailers for shipment. You will operate a powered industrial fork truck and support outbound shipping activities.

This role requires daily forklift inspections, accurate paperwork, and adherence to safety standards. The position offers regular hours with potential overtime and contributes to a fast-paced shipping environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a GED or high school diploma.
• Fork Truck Operator’s License preferred.
• Experience with forklift operation and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Remove finished product from conveyors at the banding operation.
• Transport units to staging areas for shipment.
• Load units into outbound trailers for shipment to customers or the warehouse.
• Unload inbound trailers containing raw materials, purchased product, or finished goods.
• Complete paperwork including quantities and unit counts on the Factory Job Ticket and Shipping Bill of Lading.
• Perform daily forklift inspections.
• Maintain good housekeeping in shipping areas and trailers.
• Ability to work in excess of 40 hours as business needs arise.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Any other task or duty assigned by management.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Removes units of finished product from the conveyor lines at banding operation
• Transports units to the staging areas in preparation for shipment
• Transports units into outbound trailers for shipment to the customer or the warehouse
• Unloads inbound trailers containing either raw materials, purchased product, or finished goods from the warehouse
• Completes required paperwork including quantities and unit counts on the Factory Job Ticket and Shipping Bill of Lading
• Performs daily fork truck inspections
• Maintains good housekeeping in the shipping areas and trailers
• Ability to work in excess of 40 hours, as business needs arise
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Any other task or duty that is deemed necessary by management.
