Job summary

Hutco, Inc. is seeking first-class ship fitters for shipyards located in Harvey, LA. A test will be conducted on-site to assess your capabilities, and no TWIC card is required.

Lays out and fabricates metal structural parts, such as plates, bulkheads, and frames, and braces them in position within the ship's hull for welding. A limited benefit plan includes medical/Prescription, vision coverage, and Short-Term Disability Benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as a 1st class ship fitter.
• Outfitting experience.
• Must know ship terminology.
• Must lay out and fabricate parts for ships.
• Must be able to burn, wash, and bevel with a hand torch.
• Must pass a drug test and physical.
• Must be able to work all shifts.

Hutco Inc. is seeking first-class ship fitters for shipyards located in Harvey, LA. Looking for first-class ship fitters only with shipyard experience. A test will be conducted on-site to assess your capabilities. It primarily repairs work on barges and boats. NO TWIC card is required.
