Job summary

gCaptain seeks a Ship Communications Officer (SCO) to manage the Communications Department on naval auxiliaries. You will ensure the operation and maintenance of critical communication systems and maintain compliance with safety protocols.

The ideal candidate has a Merchant Mariner's Credential and experience in cyber IT. This role requires oversight of communications operations and commands the training of personnel for accurate message processing aboard the ship.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen of at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid U.S. Passport and TWIC ID.
• Must have significant experience in cyber security and ship communications.

Responsibilities

• Manage all operational functions in the Communications Department.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs and policies.
• Oversee maintenance of onboard electronic communication systems.
