Job summary

Medpace is expanding its Clinical Informatics team to support data analytics, visualization, and accessibility. The role involves collaborating with Clinical Operations to develop data products, including Shiny apps and dashboards, to improve operational efficiency and decision making.

The candidate will work closely with bioinformatics and software teams, evaluate study protocols, and contribute to enterprise-wide solutions while advancing data-driven clinical trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in informatics, CS/engineering, biomedical engineering, health information or statistics.
• Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects on a sprint schedule.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Experience in R or Python programming.
• Work experience with clinical data.
• Experience building Shiny web applications; dashboards preferred (PowerBI/Tableau/Spotfire).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate data needs for assigned projects and recommend strategic approaches for study design.
• Collaborate with operational and medical leads to develop innovative data products (Shiny apps).
• Interact with relational data for query, wrangling, analysis, and reporting at study and enterprise levels.
• Support departmental process improvement initiatives.
