Job summary

Premier Research is seeking a Senior R Programmer/ Shiny Developer to join our Biostatistics team in the New York area. You will build scalable, interactive R Shiny applications for clinical trial data analysis, validation, and reporting.

You will design reusable modules, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with FDA/EMA and GxP guidelines while collaborating with study teams and open-source communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a quantitative field; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years in pharma/biotech/CRO programming.
• 3+ years with R, R packages, RStudio, and RShiny focused on clinical data.
• Experience connecting RShiny apps to cloud data stores (AWS S3, Azure Data Lake).
• Ability to scale Shiny apps to hundreds of users and optimize performance.
• Experience validating RShiny apps to FDA/EMA and GxP standards.
• Proven track record creating tools/pipelines to improve efficiency.
• Active/open-source contributor in R/shiny ecosystems.
• Strong communication for technical/non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain interactive R Shiny apps for clinical trials.
• Create user-friendly apps for statistical review, data exploration, QC, and reporting.
• Develop reusable Shiny modules and frameworks for consistency.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and usability of apps.
• Develop utilities using R, SAS, and Python.
• Support SDTM/ADaM review, metadata, TLFs, and clinical data visualization.
• Follow GxP, CSA, and company standards; conduct unit/integration testing.
• Provide technical consultation on R programming and open-source tech.
• Develop programs to support project deliverables (ADaM, TLFs).
• Support study teams with programming activities on projects.
