Job summary

PotlatchDeltic Corporation seeks a supervisor to oversee lumber production and ensure quality while maintaining safety and efficiency. You will coordinate with operators, verify machines, and address maintenance needs to keep production on track.

You will prepare shift reports, enforce safety, and train employees for their tasks. A strong supervisory background and sawmill maintenance knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

Job description

Oversees the production of quality lumber as possible in a safe and efficient manner.

The salary range for this position is $65,625.00 to $109,375.00.

The compensation range represents low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.

This position is bonus eligible, with a target value of 10% of salary.

Daily Job Duties

• Works with all operators to verify machines are operating correctly and addresses problems and/or questions.
• Reviews maintenance issues with Maintenance Supervisor and writes work orders as needed.
• Prepares production reports at the end of each shift.
• Ensures lumber from all machine centers is produced to quality standards
• Makes sure that employees follow safety procedures in order to maintain a safe work environment.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Responsible for training and certification of employees for their job tasks.
• Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.
• Maintains the professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
