Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is looking for a Shift Supervisor at our location in Wall Township, New Jersey. The Shift Supervisor will lead team activities, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain operational compliance with company policies.

The ideal candidate will have cash handling experience and a friendly demeanor to assist travelers while working in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility is key as the supervisor will need to work various shifts including nights and weekends.

Shift Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Provide friendly customer service by engaging with travelers and resolving customer concerns.
• Complete opening, daily, and closing procedures and checklists in accordance with company policies.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures, including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperatures.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of products and services available in the plaza.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies and procedures.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations, concerns, or problems.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Requirements

• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, twist, lift, and carry at least 40 pounds.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, and converse with customers.
• Available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
