Responsibilities

1. Direct and coordinate the activities of employees on the production floor.
2. Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet goals.
3. Inspect materials, products, or equipment for defects or malfunctions and investigate nonconforming products.
4. Ensure safety and sanitation regulations are followed.
5. Monitor gauges, dials, and indicators to ensure standards are met.
6. Conduct or assign employee training on equipment, work, and safety procedures.
7. Maintain records of attendance and hours worked using HR systems.
8. Adjust machines and equipment as needed and requisition supplies or repairs.
9. Resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances in collaboration with management.
10. Review production schedules and assign work based on experience and urgency.
11. Utilize systems like PLEX, Office 365, and document control for QMS purposes.
12. Participate in employee suggestion programs, 2 Second Lean, 5S activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
