This is an overnight position. The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to develop management skills, learn about key aspects of the business (e.g., customer loyalty, store operations), and CVS/pharmacy culture. Upon successful completion, trainees are eligible for promotion to supervisory roles that support store management in driving store performance and customer service excellence.

When no manager is onsite, the Operations or Shift Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures store operations run smoothly, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions:

1. Management: Work effectively with store management and staff; supervise activities; communicate effectively with team members.
2. Customer Service: Assist customers, handle inquiries and complaints, promote CVS customer service culture, and maintain confidentiality.

Required Qualifications:

• Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, and computer proficiency.
• Advanced communication skills.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Retail experience.

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
