Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare an employee for higher-level supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to develop supervisory skills, completes basic management training, and learns about key business aspects like building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.


Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor roles. These leadership positions support store management in driving store performance and fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.


Essential Functions
  1. Management
  • Work effectively with store management and staff
  • Supervise store crew activities, including assigning, directing, and following up
  • Communicate effectively with management and staff
  1. Customer Service
  • Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
  • Promote CVS customer service culture by greeting, helping, and thanking customers
  • Handle customer relations issues per company policies, ensuring a positive shopping experience
  • Maintain customer confidentiality

Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, and advanced communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnight shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail experience

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.


Additional Details

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 20

Time Type: Part-time

Pay Range: $17.10 - $26.00 per hour

The actual salary depends on experience, education, location, and other factors.
