Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to gain experience, completes basic management skills training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor positions. These leadership roles support store management in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes all opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
3. Promote CVS customer service culture: greet, offer help, thank customers.
4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy to ensure a positive shopping experience.
5. Maintain customer confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical and computer skills, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Retail experience.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Time Type: Part time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
