Position Summary
The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to develop management skills, learns about key aspects of the business, and CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of training, trainees are eligible for promotion to supervisory positions, which support store management in driving performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is present, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.
Essential Functions:
Required Qualifications: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, flexible schedule including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications: Retail experience
Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Anticipated Weekly Hours: 29
Time Type: Part-time
Pay Range: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on experience, education, and location.
