Position Summary
The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to prepare for future supervisory responsibilities, completes basic operations and management skills training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the store management team in driving store execution and performance while building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the Operations or Shift Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes all opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Management: Work effectively with store management and staff, supervise store activities, and communicate effectively.
  • Customer Service: Assist customers, promote CVS service culture, handle customer issues, maintain confidentiality.

Required Qualifications
Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in retail (preferred but not required)

Education
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details
Part-time, approximately 25 hours/week, pay range $16.00 - $24.00/hour, with benefits including medical, 401(k), stock purchase plan, wellness programs, and more. Application deadline: 08/23/2025.
